Dash to Daman

Tuesday, July 11, 2006 Dash to Daman Was itching for a ride since January, and had to do it. So headed off to Daman for the night on a Saturday. Left Bombay at 3:30 pm and reached Daman at 6:30 pm. 170m in three hours, not bad with a 30-minute break. Chilled out at the beach, had a lion's dinner, crashed and left the next morning at 7:30 am... Daman's a nice small place to chill out and is relatively close to Bombay, just 12 km from Vapi on the Bombay-Ahmedabad highway. And the best part about Daman is - cheap booze! But on weekends it's all tourists, tourists and tourists. I've been told it's better to head out to places like Alibaug and Nagaaon. Will I go again? Maybe not.
