Henry's curse
Henry James was distraught by the failure of his play Guy Domville. His anguish is captured brillantly in Colm Toibin's The Master. Now a new article discusses why novelists don't always make great playwrights. Novelists who play around with the inner lives of their characters find themselves at sea with straight one-to-one dialogue.
Interesting piece. Read it here.
