Mahashivratri
Lord shiva is my favourite god. He is mysterious, wandering in the snowclad icy Himalayas clad in a leotard to which animal activists may object. He is a true blue tribal, an ascetic, a simple soul with awesome powers. He befriended death by making rounds of cremation grounds wearing human skulls. He is the ultimate destroyer of everything good and evil. He is a cosmic dancer and his dance is much better than any modern day version of Michael Jackson and the gang. He is not a womaniser and Kama had to use love arrows to make him fall in love. When lord Shiva gets angry there is ultimate destruction. He wears Ganga in his Jata. His neck is adorned by naga. His head and body is smeared with ash. His sons are powerful gods themselves. I wish he had a daughter too.
