All your blogs make for a good reading. At the same time you shouldn’t get provoked. Hinduism has been the object of abuse, insult, humiliation, vulgarity, bashing etc for more than 3 thousand years. But hindus have never reacted violently.

Right from the so called dravida kazhagam (DK) …..to…. the Christian missionaries….. to the AL Uma terror outfits in coimbatore ….. to the HINDU newspaper …….. all of them have proved their rabid anti hindu agenda time and again.

But they have not been able to do much damage. Whatever damage we see has been done on the surface. Deep within the faith is well thriving.

Here is a list of famous anti hindu personalities ----- pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, E M S namboodripaad, Periyar Ramasamy naicker, Karunanidhi, N ram, Romila thapar, Mani shankar iyer, Mulayam singh yadav, sita ram yechury and who not.

The seed was sown by lord Macaulay and was watered by Pandit Nehru and was fertilized by his communist fellow travelers. The picture of Indian history we have today is a great lie that was set in motion by the east india company and spread violently by the communists.

This was the great lie of the Aryan invasion of india. The objective was to poison the Indian psyche that they were indeed migrants from central asia. Much more greater lies have been spread about the Vedas, the sages, the Upanishads, the Islamic conquest of india, the Aryans, Dravidians etc.

Sect after sect arose in india from the arya samaj to the brahmo samaj to the various peetams that we see here. Yet Hinduism survives today because of inherent divinity.

Even today anti hindu propaganda is going on in full swing everywhere, right from our text books, to films, to media. Even today the white lie, that Brahmins used the hindu religion to enslave lower castes is being spread.

Wave after wave of invaders poured in ---- the turks, the Persians, the muslims, the ghaznis, ghoris, the lodis, the French, the british. But time and again the religion produced geniuses in shankara, ramanuja, madhva, samartha ramdas, tulsidas, tukaram, guru gobind singh, the alwars, the nayanmars etc.

Islam was never able to touch the core of Hinduism. Despite the truth that thousands of temples were demolished, lakhs of people were converted, hundreds of libraries containing priceless material were burnt, Hinduism survived thanks to the varnashram dharma. There was a dedicated group of people for the preservation of the Vedas known as the Brahmins, thanks to whom even today we have the majority of the portion of the Vedas absolutely intact.

Maulana Hali was not at all wrong when he mourned that the invincible armada of Hijaz which had swept over so many seas and rivers met its watery grave in the Ganges. Iqbal also wrote his Shikwah in sorrowful remembrance of the same failure. In fact, there is no dearth of Muslim poets and politicians who weep over the defeat of Islam in India in the past, and who look forward to a reconquest of India in the future. Hindus have survived as a majority in their motherland not because Islam spared any effort to conquer and convert them but because Islamic brutality met more than its equal in Hindu tenacity for freedom.

Therefore islam should be grateful that hindus did set out to conquer and colonize Arabia, iran and iraq.

Another point I notice is that whenever muslims are questioned about islam, you always revert back to quoting from the surah and the quran. If that is not the case you always quote what some European or American scholar said about islam.

This kind of quoting will not suffice in a debate. I can quote hundreds of western scholars who have proclaimed the greatness of hindu dharma. But that is not the correct way. when talking about my religion I have to talk from my own knowledge and my own experice and the argument should be based on science, facts, logic and rational thinking. That is why Hinduism even accepts atheists into its fold.

If you read the life of swami Vivekananda, when he went to America, he did not carry any book with him. In all his wonderful lecturers you will not find anywhere a quote from so and so verse from so and so chapter from so and so book.

All his ideas were based on experience. That is the primary reason why I avoid quoting from aurobindo or Vivekananda. Whatever I say is based on my knowledge, experience and conviction.

And when I see that something is wrong with my religion I have no qualms about rejecting it. for example I don’t believe in yagnas. I believe more in knowledge, yoga and meditation. But this does not give me any right to criticize people who perform rituals. Just because I believe in the Vishnu aspect of the divinity does not give me any license to criticize shaivism.

Islamic rule was one of the reasons why Hinduism was not able to evolve to its ideal state. Thousands of priceless manuscripts in the nalanda university were burnt down and for the hindus everyday was a question of life and death. So they had to hold on to their nithya karmas and rituals. Rituals add beauty to the religion.

If you ask me why the khajuraho temples have images of sexual intercourse on their outside, the only typical honest hindu answer I can give is I don’t know. I will quote from any other source and justify it. at the most I can say that the hindus looked upon sex as a divine union and not as something mysterious, perverse and superstitious.

Going forward, I did tell you that Hinduism has answers to the question of creation and created. But you still have not provided satisfactory, scientific, original answers to any of the questions.

You still haven’t answered any of the questions directly be it the shah bano case, the imrana case, be it jihad, or islam’s track record.

Dear Jumbo Jumbo,

You do have a remarkable ability to put things in proper perspective.

Islam speaks of "People of the book" and we have indeed whole populations who live and die by their scriptures, ever ready to substantiate anything by flipping through its pages. On the other hand, the Vedas somewhere says to the effect that you have to outgrow the Vedas itself. The people of the book conclude debates on the authority of the book whereas in Hinduism we have a Dr. Hedgewar who, when asked why he keeps saying this is Hindu Rashtra and who told him so, did not quote from the Vedas or any other texts to prove his point. He simply said, I, Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, say this is Hindu Rashtra. Such convictions can be born only in people who feel in their bones the truth of things. Verily a case of the truth being in ourselves - nay, we being the truth - Tat Tvam Asi, Aham Brahmasi.

You have been writing magnificently the last few days. Keep it up.

I was wondering why Dr Hedgewar was not quoted when Swami Dayanandji was ? I am sure we can ALL live by our religions without conquering the others like GW Bush is trying desperately in IRAQ ! Let me read this BUT still JJ -your 2 blogs have not been answered by me -so here goes-REAAD IT !

As for Dr HEdgewar's comments- we NOW in 21st century have millions of RSS workers wearing short pants and blindly imitating him and thinking that HE really meant what he said !

Iyyer-i AM NOT TRYING TO CONVERT YOU TO ISLAM-If that is what you thought I meant. I am only waiting for Venu to post more jibes about ISLAM from Swamiji-so that I can answer. As for GW BUSH-we know-where his place in History will be !

Dear Muneerka, Your saying, "I am sure we can ALL live by our religions without conquering the others" is your self speaking the language of Hindu culture. Blogging in the company of Hindus, you appear to have got into the pervasive spirit of Hinduism. Congratulations and welcome. At least now accept that the claim that Islam is the only true religion and Allah stopped speaking after the 7th century is bogus.
