KALIGHAT TEMPLE
Recently i happened to be in Kolkata city. When you are in kolkata city and devotee of god, then visiting of KALIGHAT Temple is must. It was saturday ,i too decided to go Kalighat temple and i went at around 9am.The very first impression was bad , when i entered the Kalighat temple area i was caught by many panda's (PUJARI's) to take Puja's material from there shop this is common in india whenever ,wherever u go ,this happen's and we don't mind it.What else happened was very unusual ,they asked me to go with them to have Puja with Mantra's etc. and asked some money for it. I denied but one after another tried to pursue me till I entered the Gate of Temple any how I escaped .But after entering the gate I saw there was a rush inside the temple ,nothing unusual in India, but unusual was that some of Panda's (Pujaris) were asking for Rs.21 to 101 to make direct entery by passing the queue and I denied as I had ample of time.queue was long ,I thought i will take around 1 to 2 hours but I was wrong ,In the meantime many times Panda's come to me decreasing there charge each time for direct entry to temple but I Denied and waited in the queue ,Queue was Moving slowly ,it took me 2 hours to reach the Gate of Temple, there I came to know the cause of delay , It was because Of VIP's ,who wre VIP's ? You too can become VIP if give Rs.100 to PANDA's(PUJARI's) and irony was that there were no one whom you can complain ,there were no one whom you can ask for water ,there were few Police man just for name sake .Any how I Got chance to enter Inside the Temple after Long hours of waiting ,situation inside was very poor,Here also Comman man have to go thorugh round Queue and for VIP's Direct Entry and duration of Puja Depend's upon money you have spent.Any how time passes and It was my turn ,There were 3 Panda's .one was taking money fron devotee another was enaged with VIP's and third one was cleaning .He(PANDA/Pujari) asked me for money ,I denied ,then He Pushed me and verbally said go out ,I was afraid so i had given some money and worshiped the Goddess KALI and I came out of Kali Temple.I have been visited to so many Temples but never seen these type of mis-behaviour. after coming from temple i thought over it that
1.what is the possible cause of it?
2. how to Eradicate it ?
3. who are Responsible For It ?

On the one hand we say that God is omnipresent and on the other devotees like you struggle valiantly to make long trips to far away temples and take hard labour to have "darshan" of Gods and Goddesses. Scholars like Mr. Venugopal (you can recognize him if you are a regular NDTV blogger)argue that the creation (human beings) and Creator (God) are one and that God is within each of us. Why not devotees start praying themselves in airconditioned comfort at their own sweet homes, so they can avoid all this horrendous experience of visiting temples - whether Kali temple in Kolkata, Balaji in Tirupati or Murugan in Palani?

See we agree with you ,but like Blood is everywhere inside you but to flow of blood is not equal everywhere, there are some position inside your body where flow of blood is high and during blood donation only thorugh that vein blood is taken not from anywhere ,same way god/godess is present everywhere but quantum of presence is different at different place.

Dear Devendra Verma, This Panda menace must be eradicated. I think Vishwa Hindu Parishad at its next Marga Darshak Mandal should call for its eradication.Dear Hai Ram, God certainly is everywhere. We have to wake up to His presence. Temples are aids for our awakening to His presence. (We would awaken faster, of course, when we get rid of these Panda parasites. But we need not wait till that happens – it might not ever, being the philosophical folks that we are. Instead, we should see these Pandas as pathetic symbols of materialism and amuse ourselves with their antics without making ourselves available to their devices. This way we would get many a spiritual insight while awaiting God’s darshan.
