Wednesday, December 20, 2006 Church protects Sexual offender : The progress of Christianity in India. Parents in bangalore have accused the principal of St. Claret High School in Jalahalli of having misbehaved sexually with their children and filed a complaint against him.The principal, Fr. Mathew, is reportedly absconding since Sunday afternoon and the church is making attempts to hush up this case.It seems that he had gone to attend a workshop where he heard about the case and has since been "untraceable". Must be hiding in one of the churches in bangalore with some other fellow priests and culprits. When the Church offers protection to the accused and tries to evade the main issue they are equally responsible. It seems that the so called Father was in reality a pervert and molester who enticed girls individually and molested them.He used to threaten them of action if they revealed the truth.He also used to accompany the girls on school trips and pass lewd comments and send vulgar SMS to all these girls.He also made several of them sit beside him and pass inappropriate remarks.It was also revealed that he made them sit on his laps during the journey and molest them .When questioned by the students on the morality of all this , he defended himself stating that as a priest of the church he was entitled to all this.So much for a person who is appointed by the church.It is not that the church is not aware of all this.All these incidents are downplayed for selfish reasons. Fr. Jacob, principal of the St. Claret College, managed by the St. Claret Educational Society, said the molestation charges were baseless. What I do not understand is why the teachers should be targeted, why should the school property be damaged?" he asked.All the teachers were also a part of the gang . This rogue must have also been involved in this case going by his defence of that pervert.Irrespective of the religion concerned all these persons have to be flogged and the people who offer shelter or speak in his support should also be punished. Is this what education is all about in the institutions controlled by the church.None of us have asked him not to marry..Some time back a person tried to practice WITCHCRAFT on the students in North India.He was a rickshaw puller who collected funds from abroad and tried to convert people to christianity. The church as usual tries to shield the guilty and the other leaders of the comunity talk of the other charitable services rendered by the church.. We have only heard of pheodophiles in America and other Catholic dominated countries where all this happen.Now we see this happening in india and the church authorities seem to follow their counterpart by denying all these.The spokesperson said though the school authorities had sought police protection, Archbishop Bernard Moras was manhandled by an angry mob that was protesting in front of the school on Monday. So what do you expect the parents to do.Praise the church for appointing perverts. All these bishops etc., must have been supplied with girls by this rogue for them to support him. It is time the permission is denied to all schools under the control of this church since them seem to take the matter lightly .The Government should arrest all these so called priests parade them in public to send the right message.Under the garb of providing good education these institutions are ruining the atmosphere and the CHURCH is soley responsible for this.The church is providing funds to the Terrorists in the north east and also trying to convert people by showing cheap tricks like deaf and dumb and blind people getting cured and now they have started using the services of perverts to ruin this country. The other side of the religion is in focus as the Church tries to protect the criminal and offers sanctuary to him.The Church is trying to deflect from the main issue since the concerned person was a priest and expected to remain celibate.This was visible earlier in the west where the priests sodomised innocent children. One of the reasons, I think is that majority of the people who join in to be priests have chosen it as a career rather than a service to god. If this wayward Principal is caught by the Church authorities themselves and handed over to the police, it would cancel out the negative image they have had following this incident. This principle would also apply in the case of the Muslim community vis-a-vis terrorists. The Hindu community too should be alert against fraud swamis and suchlike. Otherwise the misdeeds of a minority would cast its ugly shadow on the majority.
