Monday, December 11, 2006 IS THE SECULARISM APPLICABLE ONLY FOR MAJORITIES AND NOT FOR MINORITIES Sachar report is one of the worst reports that I have ever seen. It's not because that I am Hindu and I am against it. I am against only the repots and not against the minorities. The inputs given to PM is totally absurd. Their conclusion has no begining. For e.g, The report has mentioned that the Muslims use less electricity and hence they are backward. Has this statement got any logic? The pity is our PM has said that they have the first right on our resources. Yes, I don't deny it. Any Indian has the right on our resources. But what made our PM to say that the minorities has got the more rights on our resources is based on the USELESS Sachar report. The report could have talked on so many constructive measures which could have led to the development of my dear Muslim brothers and Sisters. But they are simply playing on the vote bank cards. Congress means Secular and BJP means non-secular. Should I believe both the parties. There is no major differences between these two parties. One is playing with minority and the other one with the majority. Though I would feel that BJP is slightly better for few reasons. In BJP there are few muslims leaders like Naqvi but Can I see any Hindu in a Muslim League Party. And BJP's privatisation approach is good. This proves that minorities can be non-secular and the majorities should be and must be secular only. A fact which I would like to share with my Indians. I am one of the member involved in Sai Baba Organization.I was once invloved in coaching the poor students especially from the slum area when I was not that much busy with my office works. There are so many members in that organization. it is Chennai. Being a Hindu, I have trained few muslims in that slums. The organsation can take credit for developing that slum area into a intelltual zone irrespective of caste and religion. There are so many organisations in India which are doing these kind of social activities. Be it Sai or any other name. The objecive is being met. When these non-commercial organisations can achieve, don't tell me that Government can't do it.This is what is required to develop the Minoritiesor OBCs or SC/STs if they are really concerned about them. But all the political parties including BJP are like to play with sentiments. With these kind of attitude it is highly unlikely that our country can reach any heights of standards. Good bye to all and have a nice day. 12:50:56 PM Posted By Mahesh G Comments (3) Politics Comments Learner Monday, December 11, 2006 5:27:06 PM Dear mahesh the heading you have given is not apt for the post which you have written.where is the talk of secular majority and non-secular minority in your post. Thunderbolt Monday, December 11, 2006 5:57:00 PM Dear Sir,As you can see the Sachar report itself is a biased one for minorities that itself proves that the Congress Government is trying to be secular in the name of Sachar report. I can just ask only one question. Suppose say an "X" or "Y" report talks about the need for the development of Hindu community as a whole, what would be the reaction from the Minority parties and others. Just imagine. This shows that only minorities has more rights than the majorities. That's why I raised a question by asking Is secularism applicable only for the majorities and not for the minorities. K.Venugopal Monday, December 11, 2006 8:06:37 PM If the Muslims and other minorities are reportedly in dire straits today, is it not because of the largely Congress rule since independence? The Congress tatic all these years was simple. Frighten the minorities by demonising Sangha Parivar and get their votes to rule and who cares about their development. Now they want to continue their rule by telling the poor Muslims they are backward and Cognress is their only hope. A little like the boy who killed his parents and then begging mercy because he is an orphan. |
