Oh! Shut up!

Oh! Shut Up!
This is how I felt and reacted after reading the following opening paragraph.
Please read…
“A day after the Supreme Court ruled that no official sanction was needed to prosecute public servants for corruption, Lok Sabha MPs raised the issue of “interventions by the judiciary” and Speaker Somnath Chatterjee agreed to allow a discussion soon on the functioning of the legislature, judiciary and the executive”…
Indian Express, December 7th.
It is not surprising that many members (“Honorable” Member of Parliament) are deeply upset by the recent decisions of the Courts. What is surprising is the MUTE response by the public in large. I have not seen many people who have come forward in the support of the Courts. I feel it is “outrageous” and utterly shameful, for the simple reason that “we” are the ones who blog a lot and cry foul and show deep concern over the falling standards of our politicians and the polity. Yet, when the Courts take a stand and start cleaning the place we let these politicians-so called representative of peoples- to use there collective and “supposedly” superiority to brow beat the Judiciary.
It is not my case to suggest that all politicians are corrupt and all the members of Judiciary are “ Angels”. However if there are some honorable exceptions among the political class, they are few and far between at the same time judiciary too have their black sheep yet again thankfully-far and few.
Now once again, this spurious debate has started. Once again all the “people’s representative” will sit together - cutting across all political affilations, caste, creed, sex, religion, region, ideology etc.etc. - And yell at the top of their voices that Judiciary has been intervening in their sphere.
Now which “sphere” are they talking about, are not told to the public. Let me tell you the “sphere” they are talking about is the immunity against LAW and the very LAW which they make or unmake, the very law which applies to all of us “lesser mortals”. Immunity against the crimes they have committed so that they can become our “BHAGYA VIDHATAS”?????
There are numerous examples which are “un exemplary” where these “Peoples Representative” have flouted all the rules they lay for others to follow and Now if the Courts decide to ask them some very un comfortable questions and start sending them to the jail •The Place; many of them rightly belongs to • they complain. Just how spurious are their arguments against “judicial activism”, is a study meriting an IQ of 1.
What are they complaining against?
-Do not send us to Jail because we committed rape, looted public money, murdered some one, rioted, indulged in anti national activities, all this BECAUSE WE ARE IN THE PARLIAMENT?????
-They are complaining against the Life Imprisonment handed to SHIBHU SOREN.The Guru or GURU GHANTAL?
-Hanging sword of justice against LALLU Prasad “CHARA” Yadav.Remember it was his “dispensation” that achieved an im- possible feet of transporting a Buffalo on a two-wheeler scooter from Chandigarh to Patana.
They are complaining because they had thought that they might be saved from the “punishment” awarded by the Courts for the “CRIMES” committed, once they become MPs and power brokers, just as SHIBHU thought and LALLU is thinking, Infact he thinks to be the Prime Minister too.
So they want “IMMUNITY”. IMMUNITY against LAW they MAKE?
Majority of politicians fight elections and try to win by “hook or crook” because they think • and so far rightly so- that once they become MPs, they will be beyond the reach of law. Then under the garb of Immunity no court will touch them. So far they have been successful in evading the laws and the punishments.
Equally stupid is the “permission” part. Will ManMohan Singh ever permit for the trial of Laloo? Bizzare! To even think so. Imagine Rabri or Lalloo giving permission for Sadhu Yadav’s trial. It is laughable.
No matter how much intense is the rage and frustration of those who fear being subjected to the laws they have till now treated with disregard, there is no reason to “OBLIGE” them any further.
We the people of India owe it to us and to our future generations, that we stand up against any further attempt by the “drum beaters” of the “Give Us Immunity Brigade”.
Let the Law make no distinction.
Come and stand counted in the support of Courts against the “supposed” immunity of MPs against law.
Regards
Anil Joshi

I am with you ANIL. It is high time we-the common people, stand up and stop them. Let us create a nation-wide movemrnt against these uncouth politicians and BABUS--the bureaucrats--who are more corrupt than the politicians. I am sorry to say that ALL BABUS, 100 PERCENT, ARE CORRUPT. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. There is a nexus amongst--Bureaucrats, Scheming Media(100percent-without exception), politicians & Businessmen. Because of them LAW ENFORCERS & dispensers have fallen prey to it

anil,i understand ur concern, but u think judiciary will solve the problem that exist in country.no way,it is as bad as any other organ.we must try to strengthen our parliamentary system by electing right people rather than giving more andmore powers to judiciary, we must remember there are enough good politicians in country, let us get behind them rather than calling for more powers to judiciary

I think the Supreme Court should formulate a scheme whereby any citizen, who files a case of corruption / immorality against any politician or bureaucrat, should be given the forfeited wealth of such a corrupt person, if his charge is proven true. This is the only practical way to bring about an anti-corruption revolution.
