the religions of the world can be classified into two types
proselytizing and non proselytising
islam and christianity come under the proselytising category
hinduism, sikhism, taoism, zorastrianism come under the latter
the concept of universal brotherhood preached in the hindu scriptures is illustrated by the following verses from the shashtras
1) the whole world is one family
2) let noble thoughts come to us from all sides
3) the world is like a nest
4) let everyone be happy
5) the truth is one but the seers call it by different names
On the other hand we have the proselytizing religions that are by nature intolerant, fundamentalist and radical.
they are closed minded and cannot accept other paths as equally valid ones
But on the other hand make tall claims of giving salvation to everyone
It is only a hindu who has the guts to say "ishwar allh tere naam"
will a muslim ever accept this ? therefore it is clear that india will be a secular country only as long as hindus are in a majority. hinduism is fundamentally a peace loving and tolerant religion.
We dont ask women from other religions to wear sindoor, whereas in saudi women folk cannot set foot on the road without burkha.
it does not give minorities the freedom to practice their religion.

the concept of islamic brotherhood can be illustrated by this.
Once there were two people who decided to be partners. They decided to invest their money in business. it was decided that the money would be a common thing.
One of them told his partner. "From today onwards my money is your money and your money is my money"
"therefore let my money be with me and your money also be with me"

if you want to know the ground reality visit districts like mallapuram where muslims are in a numerical superiority
hindus are not allowed to open their hotels during ramzan. Hindus get killed and beaten up. The mosques become storing places for arms, swords and ammunition.
Muslims should not blindly follow the quran word by word. agreed that it is word of allah. But use your common sense.
I belong to the yajur veda. According to that i am supposed to four different types of sacrifices. I am supposed to wear only a dhothi and supposed to do agnihotram.
But what was told was a ritual to suit the demands of the times. Those were the days of kings, sages, ashrams and rishis.
But today It is not practical for me to follow it word for word. therefore i take what is good. the ritual part of a scripture keeps changing.
But the core truths, the declaration of the experiences of vedic seers is as true today as it was 10000 years ago.
according to hinduism By going to a mosque and by practising islam or by saying allah ho akbar or even by eating beef, i will not become a non hindu
On the other hand you say that mere utterance of "vande mataram" your islamic identity will be lost.
Is your religion then so weak and so fragile ????????

Mumbo Jumbo !Wearing Sindoor AND covering with Burkha are not the same. Closing shops during Ramadan or vandalising during Valentines day is not the same ! Wearing a thread or circumcission is not the same- Beef and Pork are not the same-Water and wine are not the same- Vande Maataram and La Ilaha Illallah are not the same YOU and me are not the same !PERIOD.

Why is everybody attacking islam ?? we do not say ishwar allah tere naam b'coz we dont believe in easwar,why shud we say something that we dont believe in ?u dont believe in islam do u ? which makes u a hypocrite and u r just saying it ! Non-muslim women in saudi have to wear burkha b'coz it is a pure islamic nation whereas India is a place for all.There is nothing wrong in women wearing the burkha, im sure u dont want men to look at u r sisters and wifes and imagine rotten things and misbehave so better cover up. I m sure u will agree that when u see a attractive women u get thoughts and that is natural. A womens body is naturally attractive and women have to be modest to avoid trouble.We have grown up and reliazed the truth my dear friend and the truth is clear in front of u and u better reliaze it before it is too late !!

Dear I, Allah is the name by which the Almighty is known. It is said that Allah has 100 names and only 99 are known to man. The 100th name is known only to the donkey (or is it the camel)? Please enlighten.

About imagining "rotten things" when looking at women, I am reminded about a joke. A fellow went to a psychiatrist saying he saw sex everywhere. The psychiatrist drew a couple of lines on a piece of paper and asked him, what do you see? He said, I see sex. The doctor exclaimed, that's the problem, you always think of sex. The man retorted, what me always think of sex? Now who has been drawing all those smutty pictures?
