mahabharata revisited
respected sir,
many of you would have seen the picture of lord krishna being the charioteer of arjuna and leading arjuna in the war against kauravas.it has a hidden spiritual meaning. it simply means that if you surrender your 5 horses(symbolising 5 sense organs) to shri krishna, lord krishna will hold the chariot of your life even in most difficult circumstances , even when you are surrounded by 100 kauravas(symbolises bad people/qualities.). surrendering 5 sense organs means putting godly discretion and restraint on the 5 sense organs. using one' s eyes in seeing only good things, using one's ears in hearing only good things, using one's speech in comforting others, making no fun of others and never indulging in cheap talk or criticising others..

i hope that hindu fanatics read and understand / appreciate your message, and the deep symbolism behind most of India's mythology, instead of trying to "liberate" ayodhya, mathura, varanasi etc by killing innocent people.mahabharat is not history, it is fiction. think of the great literateur, the great poet, who penned this epic. he depicted five good thoughts as the five "pandavas", a hundred evil thoughts as the hundred "kauravas" fathered by a blind "dhritarashtra" and a blinfolded mother.Kurukshetra is not a district in Haryana, it is in our mind. Krishna is not a re-incarnation of some supreme being, it is our mind.

Vikas Kumar's interpretation is a Hindu interpretation because the Hindu believes that behind reality is the spirit which can be expressed in any number of ways. If we get to the spirit of great prose, we get to the poetry of that prose. And when we get to the spirit of great poetry, we get liberated. Rama and Krishna lives in the hearts of countless millions who love them because of the reality they were. Our great nation India that is Bharath is awash with the culture that generated Ramayana and Mahabharatha. They are neither fiction nor myth. They are a living reality because our culture is a living reality. The Hindus, awaking after its 1000 years dark age, will surely have its way on Ayodhya, Mathura and Kashi and much more because the Hindus no longer want to bear the burden of alien symbols of tyranny.
