The wailing brigade

The Wailing Brigade & Saddam Hussein.
The Wailing Brigade & Saddam Hussein.
For a week since, Saddam Hussein met his fate and rejoined with the God, I deliberately avoided to comment on the issue. My reasoning was simple: why should I bother about him? And I found no reason to either celebrate or wail.
But then, again I am back and punching keyboard putting forth my “communal” views on some thing I myself admit, is not worthy of any comments. Itching fingers or ‘Compulsive blogger Syndrome’, you may ask? Neither.
BUT, I am aghast at the ‘wailing’, and incessant media blitz about the Saddam Hussein.
“Secular” forces are unleashed on poor souls in India and the image is being “deliberately” created as if the ENTIRE INDIA IS MOURNING THE DEATH OF “SECULAR, LIBERAL AND PROGRESSIVE” SADDAM HUSSEIN.
And just who are in this “wailing” crowd?
USUAL SUSPECTS OF COURSE!
The same “secular” club who oppose Afazal’s • THE TERRORIST • execution.
The same “secular” brigade, who calls the perpetrators of murder, bombing, attacks on Institutions, Hijackers, arsonists, traitors etc. as MILLITANTS.
MILLITANTS!!!???
The same “secular, Progressive and Liberal” media which ask us to understand the ROOT CAUSE behind the MILLITANCY [sic].
The same “SECULAR FUNDAMENTALISTS” who insists, “They have The First Right to Our National [see the irony] resources.
Jhollawalah Professionals Secularists Club.
And they call me “COMMUNAL”!
Now, since we are only educated • not intellectuals as THEY ARE. Only THEY decide who is INTELLECTUAL • and fools we relate the wailing to the coming UP ELECTIONS, we see this as another ploy to “consolidate” and harvest “secular” votes. And since we understand, the motivation behind this wailing and questions THEM,
SO WE ARE COMMUNAL FORCES.
But Friends, Wailing • funny though • has just started. Get ready to see rounds and rounds of “BIG FIGHTS, WE THE PEOPLE, MUQUABLAS”, on “secular, liberal and progressive “channels. Marches and sit in’s by the count less “Verbal Terrorists”. Candle Marches •some time I suspect that this candle march is some clever marketing ploy by candle manufacturers- rallies.etc.
Don’t be surprised to find the following ad in some “secular” newspaper.
POSITION VACANT
Need a person who resembles with the Saddam Hussein. He must look just like him. Shaven or better still if Un shaven. Job will be to travel in UP extensively in the august company of our “secular” leaders. DA and handsome perks. TA will not be paid, as the incumbent shall be entitled to travel by air and a Helicopter will be at his disposal.
Contact Immediately: Shri Mulayam Ji or Shri Laloo Ji or Shri Ram Vilas Paswan Ji.
Enjoy and Hail, THE THEATRE OF ABSURD.
Regards,
Anil Joshi

To say the least, though I might not agree with certain aspects, yet I liked the way you have raised the issue. YES, I AGREE WITH YOU: WHY SHOULD WE NOT BOTHER MORE about SERIOUS ISSUES facing INDIA? And SADDAM WHO? May be, on more humantarian grounds, I do respect the man for disrespect shown to him at the time of his death, by these SHIA HOOLIGANS. Man deserved better treatment. Even monsters allow one last chance to their victims but these HOODLUMS were worst than MONSTERS.

A memorable counter-punch, Anil Joshi. The wailing secular crowd was flooding the media with their crocodile tears for Saddam. A expose was over-due.
