Reply to Venugopal on rotation of earth
Dear Rocking, God is not rotating the earth like you and I rotate a top. If we recognise God as consciousness, I have no objection. Because we are also essentially consciousness - both movement and stillness are consciousness.
This is the comment of Venugopal to this comment of his below is my answer
Ok Venu, God is not rotating and revolving the earth then who is doing it?as you are a learned person I think you know what theory is propounded by Isaac newton. It states that a thing will remain in a state until and unless a force is acted upon.So how come the earth is moving and days and night are happening and weathers are changing?OK if you say that it is rotating by itself from time immemorial and it will be forever. Then why the speed of the rotation is slowly decreasing? As you may be aware of this fact too that earth's rotation is slowing down.Who is slowing it down?As you know the theory a thing will remain in a state unless and until a force is acted upon.
Venu explain me in detail your statement "both movement and stillness are consciousness." I did not understand it.

Dear Macho Man,Both movement and stillness are consciousness - that is, the nature of consciousness is pulsatory. It is still and it moves, it is silent and it sounds, it contracts and it expands, it is fine and it is coarse, it is involution and evolution. In short, it is non dual and dual. This is the drama of life and death, of creation and dissolution, of consciousness and unconsciousness. Beyond all conceptions whatsoever lie Brahman, in all the negatives, lie Brahman - a negative that is absolutely positive, sat-chit-ananda - the eternal-joyful-consciousness - pulsating in timelessness. From this whole comes the whole of maya - of involution, Ishwar, creation and evolution.
Perplexed? I am sorry. This is knowledge to be sought in silence. A silence that can be imparted only by a Guru. Words are sometimes too loud for silence to bear.

Dear Venugopal, it all sounds profound. If only it were true. All of this is Man's desperate attempt to find meaning where there is none.
