I don't like the use of invectives and unparliamentary words or personally attacking anyone. Yes, you can debate by countering arguments, point for point. Please don't use denigrating words to describe individuals. Dear Ruzan,1. I do not understand what you mean by ‘taking metaphor as subject’. Please explain.2. Whether metaphor or not, Islam talks about man’s destiny being a slave of Allah. Hinduism talks about man’s destiny being divine. Islam talks about man waiting for the last judgement before joining the company of virgins or roasting eternally in hellfire. Hinduism talks about our evolving though many lifetimes to realize our destiny of Godhood.3. Idols are the outer expression of our inner reality.4. We have the freedom to dip in the Ganga or not to dip. Do you have the freedom to avoid disfiguring yourself and now claim after 1400 years Allah ordered it so that you can be saved from Aids?5. Togadia, Modi & Singhal are not criminals. They are patriotic Indians, unlike many whose loyalty is to a Saudi Arabian version of God. 12. Those Muslims who ruled this country for a 1000 years (not quite that many years, really) were foreigners. If they were your forefathers, then you are a foreigner. But the majority of Muslims in India are converted Hindus. Whatever the mode of worship they changed to, their forefathers continue to be Hindus and their forefathers ruled India for thousands of years and their progeny will now again continue to rule India for thousands of years to come. 13. That the Muslims brought secularism to India is the biggest joke you have cracked. We cannot escape comparing your secular claims with the situation in Saudi Arabia, for that’s where the soul of Islam is. 14. Gujarat riots happened because Muslims burnt alive a bogey-full of Hindu pilgrims. Please read the newspapers for a blow-by-blow account of what happened. Let us not live through that horror again. Remember, it is not Muslims I dislike, it is their mentality. I am an optimistic person; I am sure by and by it will change to be truly liberal.
