MUSLIM TERRORIST, NON-MUSLIM ACTIVIST
Three days back, two tragedies hit the very venerable India. One the ULFA killing more than 50 INDIAN Biharies and other a Kashmiri arrested in a small town in Karnataka. Both hit the headlines.
But the extra mileage (Media coverage) was given to the Kashmiri arrest. I know he was planning to blast off the software firms in Bangalore (according to the police and media). The truth is yet to be ascertained. This was the planning and nothing had been done so far. The media termed him a TERRORIST…. Is his crime proved?? I am not taking any credit from the police who arrested him nor am I supporting the very same guy. But my agony is, why is he called a terrorist before his crime is proved.
The same day the more important news was that of the ULFA killing the 50 people in Assam. The media forgot about the killing of so many innocent Hindi speaking people. The killers were not termed terrorist. Is the killing of more than 50 people not terrorism? The media calls them activists. Term the ULFA terrorist on all accounts.
Why do the media differentiate between the Muslim and Non-Muslim criminals? Criminals according to me have no religion. No religion in this world doesn't teaches terrorism, killing of innocent or any crime for that matter… Call a criminal, criminal and not activist or by any sophisticated names… Let there be no difference…

Dear Ismail first of all accept my congratulations for raising such a valid point.Yes the media is biased towards Muslims. They highlight the news in which Muslims are there.But ignore or rather give less importance to news which is supposedly more important.And one more thing nobody has given any comment on your post that goes to show that how insensitive the people of India has become.

No doubt, most of us are biased against Muslims in a negative way. That has got to do with our "upbringing" and equally on the part of the community who listens to Religious Fatwas and votes as a "Community" and not for the right person.In fact, Muslims along with SC and Brhamins were the first "Vote Bank" in India. OBC and others came in later. During all the "Vote Bank" politics years with Congress, Muslims always united for "Religious Issues and Identity" and never took up more "Relevant Issues" such as Education and employment with their "Leaders and representatives". Another fact that Pakistan, which has been a "Muslim" Country and is proud of the same, is fomenting trouble in Kashmir and rest of India for many decades gives another negative connotation to Indian Muslim’s image.The Community, which ones ruled is today at cross roads and trying to come to terms with "its place" in the modern India. It can go either way- it may become a Progressive Community contributing in Nation's Progress and producing more of Kalams and Prem jis or it may become a bunch of Religious Zealots chopping someone's head on the shout of "Allah- O- Akbar". Only Muslims will decide which one they will be.

Well-written . Can't we see what lies in store for us ? Our "simple" affected folks will start retaliation on trains , buses carrying persons from affected states and cascading effect may be throughout the country . Another Large scale Godhra attack maybe in the offing ... but question is how to stop it ? Who cares ?

well said....but the media is so biased towards muslims tht nw it'll start sayin....bcoz u r a muslim...........kinda thgs....u made a gr8 point...but we r also responsible for such thgs..i mean we all...we'll show more interest in such thgs..n so the media.....also...

O Allah! We beg help from You alone, ask forgiveness from You alone, and turn towards You and praise You for all the good things and are grateful to You and are not ungrateful to You and we part and break off with all those who are disobedient to you. O Allah! You alone do we worship and pray exclusively to You and bow before You alone and we hasten eagerly towards You and we fear Your severe punishment and hope for Your Mercy as your severe punishment is surely to be meted out to the unbelievers.

Dear Ismail Shaikh, I fully agree with you. The media often does not have a sense of proportion. I would say Muslim terrorists are produced by a politicised Muslim community and the ULFA terrorists are produced by an indifferent Hindu community. Both have to be crushed.

Rajneesh's comment is pertinent. A printout of it should be taken and seriously pondered upon at Muslim Centres. It would benefit the Muslims to take his comment in a positive spirit.

Mr Venugopal- At least YOU did not make a difference -All those who terrorise are terrorists- they cant be muslim or Hindu. As for Muslims rising to high posts-it is possible if the Non-Muslims treat the Muslims as Indians first and as equals.It brings to mind the blogger who wrote that he doesnt trust muslims because he was cheated by one. I could say I dont trust Hindus and a priest at that -becuase I was stabbed by them. BUT WE DONT GENERALIZE !
