Reply to Venugopal for revelation in bits and pieces
"You have a God who needs someone (Mohammad) to take down a dictation over a period of many years in bits and pieces(was Gabriel in between?) which in turn he dictates to others and the book is finally out in its one and only edition after his death. What a long winded way for the Earth Spinner to communicate with his creation!"
To this comment of Venugopal I am writing the answer below.
I would like to tell you that it would have been easy for God to have kept a book on the mountain and asked the people to pick it up, read and follow it.
Allah's tradition is that He chooses among the people a man and appoints him as a messenger.
But will it not be good that a man from among themselves lead by example and show them how to spend life, in which manner they should behave and act, show them how to prostrate and how to bow. Etc. That is why God always sends his messengers to lead by example. And as far as dictating in bits and pieces are concerned it is for the comfort of mankind. Like one small example I am giving. Initially Muslims were asked not to offer Prayer in intoxicated state and then came the orders of banning liquor. So slowly slowly a change was intended. That is why it is revealed in bits and pieces. If straight away a ban on liquor was imposed the people would have had problems leaving it.
Venu are you not aware of Moses‘s Ten Commandments; the Torah. It was revealed to him by Allah. And also are you not aware of Bible revealed to Prophet Jesus through Gabriel and also are you not aware of psalms which are revealed to Prophet David through Garbriel.
So it is not unusual or a novel thing which had happened with Prophet Muhammad.

Mancho Man, This is exactly what I am saying, "It is not unusual or a novel thing which had happened with Prophet Muhammad". But you folks are making it out that Islam is the only true religion and God stopped talking to anyne since the 7th century.
