It is not only with pain, but also anguish, that we are once again, beseeching you, Mr. Muslim husband, to behave. Your repeated misdoings have been found adding to the already long list of Muslims’ problems. When you divorce your Muslim wife on less-than-Islamic grounds in a less-than-Islamic manner, you unwittingly provide an effective handle for your baiters, who have always been on the prowl and are ever in search of opportunities to undo you.
It is because of your misconduct that today so many girls of marriageable age, not having sufficient dowry, are living a dusk-to-dawn life in their parents’ homes.
It is again your misbehaviour that is adding to the already long list of divorcees of marriageable age, with your children, in many cases. And they are not finding suitable takers. There are widows of all ages. Ask about their agony either from them or their aging guardians.
Has it ever occurred to you that your outrageous acts tarnish the face of Islam? Have you ever thought that your indignant behaviour sends your enemies into peels of laughter? Do you know the "potentialities" of fiddling in a big way with Shariah that your scornful actions produce?
Muslim body politic is already full of wounds. Don’t add to them. Your contemptuous behaviour with your wife is one of the hurdles, that is preventing Muslims from showing their positive, constructive side.
How can we convince the sceptics and critics that Islam is not retrograde, regressive and oppressive?

Males of other religions envy their muslim brethern exactly for this. One can divorce the old wife and get a new teenage wife in a matter of minutes.

Citizen Kane !YOU as a teacher understand it better. Let us hope our muslim Mullahs will not keep issuing FATWAs for this and that-WHEN the Shariah ,Quran & Hadeeths is more than sufficient.IF A MUSLIM STRICTLY ADHERES TO ISLAMIC VALUES ON MARRIAGE-HE WONT GO TO THE PRE-ISLAMIC PRACTICES OF THE PAGANS !

Sister Muslim Lady,In my life I have always preached what I practice...I got married at the age of 29 years and I married a widow who had lost her husband after a year of marriage. We are very happy Alhamdulillah and also have a son. I dont believe in the triple talaqs which goes against the Shariah..saying of talaq on telephones and internets and saying the triple talaq in one breath in against the Quran and hadiths and shariah...ill informed mullahs are misguiding the gullible public...We as a whole community have to come out of the clutches of these mullahs especially the likes of Shahi Imam (the biggest enemy of muslims)...

Again - IT happens because people pull out Verses from the Quran to suit them. BUT as Allah has revealed- one Ayah may have been replaced by a better ayah or with the same or better meaning at a later revealation to the Prophet SAW - in direct relation to the context that it was revealed .So unless the Quran is taken as a whole-taking bits and piecces out of it will NOT help to properly Understand what the Qur'an means for US !

Dear Muneerka, Your thesis of replacing one ayat by a better ayat according to context would suggest that the Quran is an unfinished text. What would Allah have to say in the context we are in today, 1,400 years later? Or are we do deduce everything from words embeded in the Quran? In short, why did God cease to speak suddenly?

HE WAITED 1000'S OF YEARS TO SEND THE 10 COMMANDMENTS -TO A RACE-A PEOPLE- THEN ANOTHER 1000 OF YEARS TO THE CHRISTIANS -THEN 650 YEARS TO THE ARABS -SO WHATS YOUR HURRY ! THE ARABS ARE STILL HERE (UNLESS BUSH'WIPES THEM OUT WITH A NUKE AND SEALS THE OIL-TO STEAL FOR ETERNITY !) BUT ALLAH IS WATCHING !HE SENDS A BAD RULER ONCE A WHILE TO TEACH THE INFIDELS A LESSON !
